Yoga and femininity: creating a safe space to reconnect with yourself
Mandala Project welcomes many women. Many arrive with the desire to reconnect with their bodies, understand their cycles, or heal old wounds. Our retreats offer a safe space for this exploration. Here is how we approach feminine yoga.
Cyclical practices
We adapt the rhythm depending on the time of the month. Dynamic practices are offered when energy is high (follicular and ovulatory phases). During premenstrual and menstrual phases, we prioritize Yin, calming breathing, and self‑massage. We encourage each participant to listen to her body rather than a rigid schedule.
Sharing circles
Each retreat includes circles where participants can share in trust. We talk about the relationship to the body, pleasure, and boundaries. These circles are facilitated by Mélanie and therapists trained in somatic coaching. The goal: normalize lived experiences, break taboos, and feel supported.
Body rituals
We offer workshops in breast self‑massage, facial gua sha, and intuitive dance. The goal is to rediscover sensuality without performance. We use natural plant oils, soft textures, and enveloping music. These rituals transform the way we look at ourselves.
Emotional support
An energy therapist is present to accompany deep releases. In case of trauma, we direct participants to appropriate resources. Mandala Project is inclusive: all women and people who recognize themselves in this energy are welcome.
On leaving, participants report a renewed love for their bodies. Our wish is that every woman feels sovereign, able to listen to her needs and create her own rituals. Yoga then becomes a dance with the sacred feminine.
